C&A:
I Found a New Baby has some great changes for Charles to solo
on, particularly the G7/C7/F/A7 sequence. His solo on this take is not quite as good
as on the master take—he seems to have just been gearing up for it. Bars 17-18
are a variation on the sequence he used in the same place on the master take. The
Dm/G7 figures at bars 25-26 also appear in bars 28-29 on the master take. As does
the lick on the last bar of this take—bar 8 on the master take.
